PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS CONDUCTING BUSINESS ON BEHALF OF WORKSAFE NB
First, let me thank you for the assistance your have provided us in the previous years. Your help has always been invaluable in the fight against fraud and abuse within WorkSafe NB – Travail Securitaire NB.
You are likely aware that our name has recently changed. The name is much shorter is easy to remember. The Commission’s mandate is to create an environment where workplaces view all accidents as being preventable.
We are a Crown Corporation legislated by the government. As a government agency we must ensure that our work is always conducted in a legal and ethical manner. Our work is highly specialize and very unique. Discretion and adherence to the law is a must. A few years ago, Senior Investigator Richard Lussier held a meeting in Moncton at which time everyone attending the meeting was reminded of our code of conduct.
It has been brought to my attention that The Council of Private Investigators – Atlantic Canada recently held a meeting in Fredericton. I think the time is appropriate to conduct a review/update of our service providers to ensure that our expectations and code of conduct is met.
I would like to ask everyone to provide Work Safe NB with the following documents.
– Copy of Private Investigators and Security Services license. If your firm has more than one investigator, copy of P.I. license of each investigator conducting business on our behalf.
– Copy of Agency license. (Private Investigators and Security Services Act)
– Copy of liability insurance and bond.)
– Copy of membership of a professional association to meet the requirements of PIPEDA. (The Council of Private Investigators – Atlantic Canada)

The document “Confidentiality Agreement” English/French is included as an attachment to this letter. I would ask that you read and sign the document. If your have more than one investigator in your firm, I would request that all investigators conducting business on our behalf read and sign the document. You can print copies from the attachment. The original document must be returned with the other documents previously identified.)
